Free Agency Starts Today

And there is one guy I would LOVE to see the Packers target, a certain 26 year old cover Corner out of Arizona who just completed his 4th season in the league, Antoine Cason. He is an ideal fit to the GB System at 6'1" 200lbs, adept at playing press coverage the way the Packers like it, a willing tackler and from what I have heard a good guy in the locker room.

I know Ted does not dip into Free Agency much, but this is a guy worth doing it for. Not a premium player, but a guy that can be signed, who I am sure wants to win after his time in San Diego.

I also know that it is exceedingly unlikely to happen, but if I were making a list of the bet fits for the Packers Cason would be right at or near the top.

Have heard more than one rumor about the Pack being interested in Sean Smith from the Fins. Big kid who I remember liking out of college, but can't say as I've seen him play much in the NFL.

Problem with Smith vs. Cason is Smith is going to break the bank while Cason isn't. Not sure how well Smith fits in the GB system where Cason is more the prototype of what the Packers like their Corners to be. I'd be fine with Smith, but do not see him as a Theodore style signing in terms of $$.
